TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES…….

After a long couple of days out of town I was anxious to get home and get on the Buzzard Live chat and listen to the Scoopers upset the Central Cobblers. There was talk amongst some that this was going to be the game to watch. I needed to stop in Lead to visit with a customer. I was running behind schedule, so I was listening to the game on the radio. My customer was in Lead watching his boy play in the 7th grade Cartwright Tournament and asked me to meet him there. I, of course, was anxious to get the heck out of there, but frankly the guy was a little chatty. I was getting updates on the game via text, and as time went on it was clear that the 7th graders in Lead looked better than the “game to watch.”
I tried to tell you, Groovy, the wheels on the Scooper “bandwagon” were going to fall off, and they fell hard. It got a bit heated, from what I hear, too. Wheels were falling off, and Coach Thompson had steam coming out his ears. It’s hard to play the aggressive Cobblers and not get frustrated. When you think you have one player figured out, another comes out and you chase his tail for a while.
Central is on its way to State. Now, Groovy, if the Scoops are the team you claim they are, they will pounce on Mitchell and try again to get to the “Big 8.” If it makes you feel any better, though, Groovy, I witnessed a couple of good Sturgis 7th graders in the Cartwright tourney, so there’s a coule of good ones coming up……but I hear Central has more than just a couple. For now, good luck to the Central Cobblers at State.
